SITUATION : An agency that currently handles UNO India gave this assignment as part of their hiring screening process.

The question was - We've Hit The Metrics. What Does The Next Stage Of Growth Look Like For UNO?

ANSWER -

First things first: I don't think UNO India has a content problem.

In fact, I think the current strategy has done exactly what it was supposed to do.

The page has grown from 15K to 100K followers organically. Reels are consistently crossing millions of views. The content understands internet culture, leverages trends well, and translates game mechanics into relatable everyday moments. Whether it's comparing an UNO Flip card to the difference between CTC and in-hand salary or using trending formats to explain game rules, the content is genuinely entertaining and worth watching. Even I gasped at that one video on no-mercy uno.

Which brings me to an important point:

The next stage of growth is not about making better content. The next stage of growth is about becoming a cultural personality.

The difference may sound subtle, but it is exactly what separates successful brand pages from brands like Duolingo, Zomato, and District.

Stage 1: Attention

UNO India has already won attention.

People watch the content.

People engage with it.

People share it.

People understand it.

Mission accomplished. We are done and dusted.

Stage 2: Emotional Investment

This is where brands like Duolingo and Zomato operate.

People don't just consume their content. People feel attached to them.

When Duolingo doesn't post for a while, people notice. You would see jokes like - “it’s been a whole 47 minutes and there is absolute silence from duolingo, Duo please blink twice if you are kidnapped”
